Poseidon Configuration:

• 6 global-view units, with 12 cameras
• Video coverage of the pool: 100% of the pool
• Computer-aided monitoring: deep-end pool zones
• The teaching pool is equipped with cameras and has 100% video coverage

The Poseidon System at the Jean Blanchet Aquatic Center in Ancenis became operational during January 2000. The global-view cameras were installed during the pool's semi-annual draining for scheduled maintenance. The electrical work and the final installation work were completed without interrupting the aquatic center's activities.

During the month of November 2000, a swimmer who had lost consciousness was saved due to the Poseidon System's detection of the situation and the triggering of an alarm. The lifeguards were able to rescue the swimmer because they received early warning of the incident.
The Security System proved its effectiveness. Poseidon prevented a drowning accident.
