Poseidon Configuration:
- 3 global-view units, with 6 cameras
- Video coverage: 100 % of the pool
- Computer-aided monitoring: deep-end pool zones
The Poseidon System became operational at the Châtillon
Malakoff pool in September 2000. The global-view cameras were installed
during the pool's semi-annual draining. The electrical work and
the final installation work were completed without interrupting
the swimming stadium's activities. The Poseidon System's commissioning
received substantial coverage in the press.

to 80 people die every year in public swimming pools. To improve
safety, pools can now equip themselves with a modern system. (.).
The Chatillon Malakoff pool receives 300,000 people per year and
this new method of supervision will make it possible to gain precious
seconds in the case of an accident (.) the fact that emergency interventions
are video taped will also serve as a means of limiting the liability
of elected officials and local authorities.
